Colts Tailgating Guide

Indianapolis Colts Tailgating GuideTailgating Hours
Most tailgating spots, including the Victory Field, open their parking lots about 4 hours the day of an Indianapolis Colts game Tailgating CostsMost tailgating spots charge $10 per vehicle.

Top Ten Items to Bring
1. Plenty of beer - The worst thing to run out of at a tailgating event is beer. Pack plenty of extra beer. You can bring extra beer home.
2. Plenty of food - The only thing worse than running out of beer is running out of food. Bring plenty of extra food to share with friends and fellow tailgaters.
3. Chairs - A big rookie mistake is not bringing chairs to tailgate. Most tailgating parties last a few hours and eventually you will want to sit down.
4. Containers you can throw away - Make it easier on yourself by packing your food items in zip-lock bags, tinfoil pans, and disposable containers. This makes cleanup a breeze.
5. Water - You may not drink it, but water helps cleaning up. You can put out fires, clean up pans, and wash your hands.
6. Small table - A small fold up table is ideal for staging your food. Without a table you will find yourself looking for a place to set all of your food.
7. Something to do - Tailgating is fun and playing games makes it even better! Some great tailgaiting games include cornhole, hillbilly golf, or just tossing a football around.
8. Radio - Listening to the pregame radio show is always enjoyable while you are tailgating. If there is no pregame show then you can always listen to good music.
9. Toilet paper - If you have ever used a portapot and discovered there is no toilet paper then you understand the importance of this item. Play it safe and bring plenty of TP.
10. Friends - Last but certainly not least bring plenty of friends to share your great tailgating experience! The more people the better! Where to Tailgate at the RCA DomeThe two main tailgating spots are the Bean Factory and the Victory Field parking lot.

Bean Factory - Located just south of the new Lucas Oil Stadium. The location is a gravel parking lot so it can get muddy if it rains. Portapots and trash bins on site. Not as active now that construction of Lucas Oil Stadium is forcing tailgaters to move elsewhere.

Victory Field - Located directly west of the RCA Dome in the Victory Field parking lot. The location is a nicely paved parking lot. Prime spots are at the end of the parking lot next to the grassy areas. Portapots and trash bins on site.

Blue Crew Lot - This is where the action is. For a yearly fee of $120 you receive a pass to put in your window allowing you access to park in the lot. It's no more expensive than typical parking... but the catch is that you need to get there early because parking is not guaranteed once it fills.

During our live webcam broadcasts, expect to find the ColtsDrive.com team at the location marked on the map, at the northside of the Blue Crew Lot.  See image below for location:
